El verde urbano de las ciudades de Salamanca, Valladolid y Zamora : delimitación, localización y percepción
The aims of this research are to define urban green spaces from a theoretical and territorial point of view, to locate these spaces in the cities of Salamanca, Valladolid and Zamora, and to analyze the use and the valuation of green areas by people who visit them.
I examined the historical evolution of the three cities during the last fifty years, analyzing the progressive appearance of green areas. Using their distribution in the city, I calculated the number of people without access to urban green spaces.
I also studied the reasons for users to visit a specific green space, focusing on the distance from the place of residence, the most visited green areas, the profile of the average user and the influence that the quality of green areas has on the visits.
