These guidelines form part of the Let’s Place Values into Sport (Posam valors a l’esport)programme that comprises three basic lines of action focussing on reducing behaviour that goes against fair play in sports practised by children of school age. These lines of action focus on interventions geared towards athletes, their parents and the social fabric of the Balearic Islands.
The aim of this publication is to orientate and guide readers so that they can improve their interventions regarding athletes and their parents during the corresponding initial stages and to help them to manage daily situations that arise in the sports context relating to athletes, coaches and families. I am sure that many readers of this publication have already implemented these guidelines.
