The Cognitive Architecture of Perception
This translation into English of La arquitectura cognitiva de la percepción —published in Spanish in open access at the institutional repository of USC, Minerva— is a digital, open-access version of the print-format edition published originally by the Universidade de Porto in 2014. The book’s aim has been to provide an explanation of the cognitive processes involved in perception, making use of the information that is currently available thanks to neurophysiology, cognitive psychology and anthropology. The main concern has therefore been the analysis of those types of perception that involve knowledge —in other words, those that can be employed in the empirical evaluation of knowledge.
